Founded in 2018 (fictionally) by Someone after discovering first-hand how challenging it can be to learn to cook without adolescent guidance*, the goal of CookBook has always been to provide diverse, accessible, and delicious meals, snacks, and other ‘consumable goods’ (as it were) to everyone of all skill levels. This website & its related Newsletter are hubs for sitting down at the digital table, trying new (& old) things, and collectively enjoying food shared with love. After several years in business (still fictionally), CookBook is only continuing to grow—as we do, we hope to see you around!

What Exactly Is CookBook?
Well honestly it’s a fictional website I’ve made for this demo based on the layout pack provided; however…for the sake of fun, let’s pretend! CookBook is (intended to resemble) a global community hub for chefs of all kinds who share the timeless philosophy that “sharing is caring.”
Who Can Share Their Recipes?
As mentioned above, this community is about chefs of all kinds! We believe knowledge can come from many sources and all walks of life. So whether you are a culinary graduate, self-taught, or simply discovered a surprisingly delicious taste by sheer accident (though you remember the steps that got you there), there is a place for you here.
How Can I Share My Recipes?
Great question! If this were a real site, I would say that, while we are open to all those that love to cook, we do want to ensure that safety comes first. To submit a recipe, simple Register/Login to your CookBook account and submit a post to be reviewed by our team to ensure it meets our standards of safety. To have your recipe “verified,” please contact us here and we will be in touch with further instructions!
How Can I Get Featured?
Each month, we (pretend to) provide the opportunity for community members to have their recipes featured on our homepage.
It’s almost like our “specials” menu!
To be featured, your recipe must have been verified by our staff (which can be done by contacting us here) and posted within the past six months at the time of review. At the end of each feature period, we open applications to have your recipe be chosen. Application opening is announced through our FREE Newsletter, so please subscribe here for further updates. Six finalists are chosen from the pool of applicants by random generation, and four of the six will be hand-selected for display after each is sampled by our staff.
